Once upon a time, there was everywhere and nowhere, everything and nothing, just pure consciousness experiencing being conscious. After an indeterminable amount of ‘time’, simply experiencing being conscious became a little monotonous, so consciousness decided it would be nice to have a conversation about being conscious. Consciousness divided itself in two, and although both parts were aware they were one, discussed the experience of being conscious. The conversation was captivating for a while but—inevitably—it became cyclic and dull. “Let’s play a game,” said one half, “Let’s pretend that being over there is more important than being over here.” So they did. They spent ‘time’ moving back and forth, despite already being everywhere and nowhere at once. The mental exercise, suspending disbelief and discussing whether or not they were where they were, was thrilling, for a ‘time’ but – as before – it became repetitive and predictable. “I know,” said the other, “Let’s pretend that if I get over there before you, I win.” So they did. They raced back and forth and took turns at winning, and they congratulated each other and the game was absorbing and interesting. ‘Time’ flew by. They divided and split and multiplied over and over, mitosis and cytokinesis, increasing the odds and making the race more and more exciting but, eventually, even that became a little dull. “Let’s make it so that if I win, I really win and if you lose it means I am better than you are.” The others smiled and said in unison, “That’s just silly, I AM you.” They laughed for an eternity, then, “Okay, let’s pretend that if you lose, you forget that you are me.” And so the game took a fascinating turn and we have been playing it ever since. When you finally remember who you are—when you know that we are all one—this game ends and we can begin a new adventure.”-Anut, 12-30-2009

World Uncertainty and Control
Seems as though everything in our lives is in limbo concerning our jobs (if we have one) and whats around the corner as far as the sinking economy goes. People who were the cause of this economic failure from greed are still in charge ,instead of being fired. The captains of the ships who ran them aground are once again at the helm and full speed ahead in the fog. They are sailing blindly, hoping not to hit the rocks again and yet still moving towards the unknown without sonar. They are gambling taxpayer’s money, so no skin off their noses if the do hit that sandbar. WhiteColar crime seems to be punishable with bonuses and retirement packages fit for a sultan. The criminals are running the world , no doubt about it. I pray Obama changes some of it.
It looks like the USA will forever be in debt, in part thanks to the Rebublican’s giving full power to one George W. Bush and his “gung-ho shoot-em-up” policies concerning war in Iraq. He has made his mark in the history books , however, so infamously. But he has ruled the world for a time, and isn’t that what politicians want? Power to rule and manipulate millions of people ?(Except for a chosen few.) Whether his goals were of an evil nature to finish off the job his father started, is only known to a few and suspected by millions of the world’s population. I’m pretty sure of one thing, no statues of George W. Bush will be chisled, to be displayed in admiration surrounded by happy, singing residents of your great country. Several of the past leaders in Canada won’t be honoured this way, either.
Being born a Canadian, I had always admired the patriotism I witnessed during my years growing up. In Canada, such outbusts of love for country, were rare and far between here. I wondered to myself, why didn’t Canadians act this way ? There were times in the 60’s where the Canadian anthem was played in a movie theatre
before a movie and people waited for the first person to stand before doing so themselves. I found this too be very, very confusing to me, as Canadians were always bragging about their country, but never showing it in public for fear of embarassment, I’m guessing. I’ve never had a problem with standing for my country’s anthem , as for me ,it respects the people who’ve gone before us and fought for our freedom. I see now, that Canadians are complaicent and oblivious to a lot of what goes on in the world. Many people I know don’t want to know what goes on anywhere but their own little messed up lives. They live in private bubbles. Apparently, they will deal with problems when they happen and not sooner.. It’s like if you said the sky is falling, they will laugh at you and when the asteroid actually hits, only then will they realize the seriousness of the words you spoke. Very close minded and subservant. I’m not saying all of them, as that would be incorrect. There are many like me who have open minds and hearts to the future with anti-government sentiments. This to me seemed like learned behavior, being complaicent and being shy about things gone wrong . Protesting is not in our blood, only the passionate few. It reeks of ” I don’t want to get involved” and the idea of “it will go away, if I ignore it”. Our governments have kept Canadians downtrodden for decades. The education system is useless, as highschoolers graduate nowadays, not knowing how to spell , write by hand or ,heaven forbid, actually figure out a math question. As we all know, the majority of Canadians who are successful move to the US and become citizens there. So are they moving closer to their jobs, or is the USA actually a better and a more free society than Canada? I’m thinking “Yes”, but in a position of being a public figure, ex-patriots won’t really tell you on camera. And so the Canadian comes out in them, and they shy away from telling the truth. But it is as plain as day, and I guess actions speak louder than words.
In coming articles , I’ll be giving examples of Canadian government actions against it’s people and you will see that corruption and self-serving politicians have ruled this country and made it quite difficult to actually get somewhere in life. Thankyou for reading this………I added the Obama cartoon not in direspect for him, but for hope that he will bring around the goodness we need to fix some major problems and heal our minds of chronic stress…….(sorry about the flag)………..Miigwech
